Compact Design Without Compromising Stability

Despite its narrow footprint, the ROVI X3 maintains stability through:

  • In-line battery configuration for centralized mass
  • Balanced frame geometry
  • Suspension and drive alignment designed to support power seating loads

This allows the chair to remain compact while supporting advanced positioning systems and everyday mobility demands.

Power & Performance

The ROVI X3 is driven by high-efficiency 4-pole motors engineered to deliver a balanced combination of torque, speed, and energy efficiency. This power system is designed to support demanding daily use, including complex power seating functions, without sacrificing ride quality or responsiveness.

  • 4-pole EAD performance motor design optimized for torque & smooth power delivery
  • Available top speeds up to approximately 6.2 mph (configuration dependent)
  • Predictable acceleration and braking for confident indoor and outdoor driving
  • Engineered to maintain performance when used with advanced power positioning systems

Mid-Wheel Drive Performance & Maneuverability

The ROVI X3 utilizes a center-wheel drive configuration, placing the primary drive wheel near the user’s center of rotation. This design improves turning control in tight indoor spaces while maintaining predictable handling outdoors.

  • Narrow base width supports home and community access
  • Tight turning radius improves maneuverability around furniture and doorways
  • Optimized weight distribution enhances traction and stability

Active Ride Control (ARC) Suspension

At the core of the X3’s ride quality is Active Ride Control (ARC) independent suspension. ARC helps maintain wheel contact across uneven surfaces, reducing jolts while improving stability during transitions such as ramps, thresholds, and uneven flooring.

  • Smoother ride across varied terrain
  • Improved stability at higher speeds
  • Reduced impact transfer to seating and positioning components

Available OnTraxx® Enhanced Driving Module

OnTraxx® is an advanced driving assistance module designed to improve directional control and reduce the need for constant user input. By actively monitoring driving conditions, OnTraxx® helps the wheelchair maintain its intended path when navigating uneven terrain or cross-slopes.

  • Automatically compensates for surface irregularities and side slopes
  • Reduces the need for frequent steering corrections
  • Enhances straight-line tracking on uneven or sloped terrain
  • Improves overall driving confidence and reduces user fatigue
